Want a little something different for your Christmas stocking this year? Why not give the talented flute/guitar duo of Emily Andrews and David Massey’s new recording a try?

Make Merry is a collection of standard carols given some unique twists courtesy of excellent musicianship and overdubbing all sorts of flutes, piccolos and guitars. It makes for charming listening. Throw it on the CD player or download the files and your Christmas festivities will have a warm and musical accompaniment. The recording is bright and lively much like the excellent playing. The arrangements include country, world music and folk styles. All the tracks never lose the essence of Christmas no matter the musical setting.

Selections include all your favourites: We three Kings of Orient Are, Away in a Manger, Silent Night, Good King Wenceslas, Ding Dong Merrily on High, Jingle Bells, Coventry Carol, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Deck the Halls, The Holly and the Ivy, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, O Come o come Emmanuel and While Shepherds Watched.

This talented Duo met at London’s Royal Academy of Music and now each have budding solo careers. Both of their considerable talents go into Make Merry a Christmas treat.
