From the Dean of UK high end speaker manufacturers, Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), comes a foray onto the computer desktop. The MM-1 Multimedia Speakers. Typical of the iPod set of B&W speakers, the Zeppelin and the Zeppelin Mini, these mini beauties look stunning with enough style to grace any modern listening room. The sound? Unknown, as yet. If they sound anywhere near how they look, well, we have a winner. I have an email into B&W for a Zeppelin Mini review piece. I’ll try and have a listen to all three bits of kit for you.
The B&W website says: MM-1s aren’t like other computer speakers. They’re true hi-fi speakers, shrunk to fit on your desktop. So they don’t just look great – they sound amazing, transforming your computer into a superb hi-fi stereo sound system. But then you’d expect nothing less from the makers of the award-winning Zeppelin iPod speaker, not to mention some of the most advanced studio speakers in the world.
Coming February 2010. Price not yet announced.
