Goldmund is the swiss maker of ultra high end gear. I received a press release about the Eidos Reference and I thought the readers may like to see the player. Up close, you will not see better made gear. But, the prices are stratospheric. 135K for this unit! Only 50 are being manufactured. And lucky us, it plays SACD and DVD-A! <smile>
If Goldmund shows at CES, maybe a reader can post up a comment to see if the price matches the music and video. Two of our writers will be in Las Vegas. I’ll be sure to ask them to check out the new player.

I will make an effort to see and hear this piece of techno-art and report back from CES. It appears that one must have one of these or feel terribly inadequate. Ha!
LOL!
135K
I mean, really!!!!
Holy cr*p! Their products exude quality - winder if the price is justified to some degree (ground breaking technology). Definitely looks like the unit will last a lifetime - wonder if it really will..
I’m sure it’s wonderful, but 135K!
I wonder what it actually costs to produce?
It better — it will take you that lifetime to pay for it…
LOL
Welcome, Dave.
If I could, I would. I love electronic works of art.
