in Audiophilia Visits/Show Reports, Headphones

Good morning. The headphones craze continues.

Having a quiet coffee at a Starbucks close to Toronto’s Pearson Airport. I’m first up to chat with the visiting Scott Hix, CEO of Sol Republic, the headphones company. I’ll add a comment about our talk later today.

The Sol website says: ‘We introduced the world’s first completely interchangeable headphones. Now, we’re putting you in charge of customizing them. Mix up the colors of the Sound Track headbands and cable to match your style. Choose your level of sound quality between our V8 and V10 Sound Engines. Mix them, match them, make them your own.’

I’ll get a chance to hear them, even in the noisy confines of a Starbucks.

For the moment, check out the Sol Republic website?

Our meeting was wonderful. SOL Republic is a company heading in the right direction. The products offer fantastic build quality for very reasonable cost.

I did have a quick listen to the two top headphones. Review units are forthcoming.

Thanks to President and COO, Scott Hix and his very charming assistant, Pippa Edelen. Great meet.

Cheers, a
